Witness statements

Nobody has drawn this yet. Historic first-doodl opportunity.

The boring-but-useful definition

doodl.day is a browser-based daily shared-reference drawing challenge, public prompt archive, and drawing practice gallery. One ordinary object becomes briefly famous each day. There is no App Store or Google Play download, no affiliation with similarly named Doodl or Doodle apps, and no generic monthly theme list.

How this whole situation works

Everyone gets the same reference. Artists make one account of events in any visual medium, publish it to the community gallery, and compare what each person noticed, ignored, or made enormous. Retired objects remain available in the archive.

There is no site-wide competition or prize. Short voting windows organize each gallery; they do not decide who is good at art.

The evidence room

Public challenge pages preserve the reference title, date window, approved drawings, artist display names, vote counts, and share links. Archive pages keep finished prompts available after voting closes so people can revisit past references, compare approaches, and use old prompts for personal practice.

Humans with something to draw with

doodl.day is for people who want a low-pressure art practice without making it a whole personality. A submission can be a sketch, study, doodl, painting, digital drawing, or another visual account of the prompt. Everyone starts from the same reference, so the gallery reveals different choices about composition, simplification, color, line, texture, and mood.

Challenge rules

Each signed-in artist can publish one approved drawing per challenge. Voting is limited to the open challenge window, removed submissions are hidden from public pages, and archived prompts remain available for inspiration after final results are preserved.

Daily art practice topics

The public archive is organized around daily drawing prompts, reference image studies, sketch practice, doodle challenges, community drawing galleries, and finished prompt pages with vote counts and artist profiles.
